Case Study: How Data Empowers Ajax Systems to Enhance Their Presence on Retail Partner Websites

Results

  • The client receives comprehensive, structured data about the availability and visibility of all their products on the digital shelves of e‑commerce retail partners.
  • Thanks to prompt availability monitoring, both shelf share and market share increased.
  • Timely analytics helped reinforce the brand’s leadership position in key categories.
  • Protecting price positioning enables the client to maintain margin and trust among partners.

Client background

Ajax Systems is an international technology company and the largest security system manufacturer in Europe. Over 4 million end-users and 290 000 PRO users across more than 180 countries trust Ajax products. The company offers comprehensive protection solutions for residential and commercial spaces of all sizes. Its product portfolio includes 180 devices for intrusion protection, video surveillance, fire safety, comfort, and automation.

Shelf presence and shelf share are key KPIs in e‑commerce, because they directly impact sales and profit. Secondly: we do not compete by dumping prices — we compete on quality and service. We expect the same approach from retail partners. Therefore, it’s absolutely critical for us that all our brand’s products: a) are available on partner sites; b) have consistent price positioning. In practice, this meant daily monitoring of hundreds of our SKUs across the online stores of all major partners. Manual checking took too much time, was inefficient, and didn’t allow us to react in a timely manner. We needed an automated solution.

Challenges faced by Ajax Systems

Ajax Systems adopts a proactive approach to partner collaboration. Real-time tracking of changes on retailer sites is one of the company’s key business tasks, which helps to avoid lost sales and profit. The company turned to Pricer24 to receive complete and up-to-date data on their brand’s market presence.

The tasks included:

  • maximizing the presence of the full Ajax Systems product portfolio on retail partner websites;
  • minimizing the share of SKUs marked as «Out of stock» or «Missing from catalog», since each lost position represents a potential loss of revenue;
  • ensuring new product listings appear promptly — monitoring whether all new Ajax products are quickly published in partners’ online catalogs;
  • protecting the brand’s premium positioning and margin, avoiding uncontrolled price dumping.

How Pricer24 helped Ajax Systems grow market share by boosting e‑commerce presence

Pricer24 provides functionality that allows brands to fully control their presence in e‑commerce. We deliver accurate, real-time data on product prices and availability in partner online stores. Specifically, we:

  1. Detect at least 98% of brand product information on retailer websites.
  2. Match these listings to the brand catalog with 99,5% accuracy.
  3. Identify out‑of‑stock items promptly and track retail prices and their fluctuations.

To initiate working with Ajax Systems, we only required:

  • a list of client SKUs;
  • a list of partner websites.

Implementation of Pricer24

At the beginning of collaboration, Ajax Systems provided a list of over 150 product SKUs*. We mapped these to the corresponding SKUs on partner sites — laying the groundwork for precise ongoing monitoring.

The next stage was configuring the parser. The system collects daily data on:

  • product availability status at partner online stores;
  • dynamics of product presence;
  • current retail prices.

Meanwhile, we also designed custom analytics reports and formatted them to client preferences.

* The product list expanded during collaboration; we now monitor over 500 SKUs

Pricer24 Statistics

  • The system finds over 98% of Ajax products in partner catalogs daily.
  • SKU matching accuracy is 99,5%.
  • Over the past two years, zero support tickets regarding matching errors.

Reports & Data Analysis

For daily monitoring, we created a dashboard for the client with reports showing:

  • overall status of Ajax brand visibility among partners;
  • trends in product shelf presence — changes in the number of products in stock;
  • lists of SKUs marked «Out of stock», i.e. items that have sold out or are no longer listed for other reasons;
  • lists of new products not yet added by key partners.

This dashboard enables stakeholders to see within seconds how fully Ajax Systems’ portfolio is represented on retailer digital shelves, quickly identify the most problematic areas, and take responsive action.

Controlling product availability and price positioning in e‑commerce is daily, systematic work that simply can’t be done effectively without automation. Thanks to Pricer24’s solution, we gained real‑time data access and intuitive analytics, enabling us to maintain stable online shelf presence, respond swiftly to changes, and ensure consistent brand positioning. For Ajax Systems, it’s a tool that strengthens our proactive partnership approach and delivers strategic results.
